Book Launch at ACWWS 2008 One of the ACWWS 2008 conference highlights will be a book launch where we acknowledge the achievements and accomplishments of our members. To this end we are cordially inviting ACWWS members who have recently published a book, to participate in the ACWSS 2008 conference book launch on Tuesday, May 20. The book launch will assume the following format: The author will make a 5 minute presentation introducing the book, discussing the content and indicating its scope and relevance. Should the author wish, he/she may also invite a book reviewer ( a colleague who is also attending the conference) to make this presentation on his/her behalf. In order to participate in the book launch, authors will need to provide the following information to the ACWWS conference chair: 1. Bibliographical information about the book, (author, author institution, affiliation, publisher and publication date.) 2. If the presentation is being made by the reviewer, the author needs to indicate the name of that person. The deadline for submitting this information to acwws@sgu.edu is April 30th 2008. We are also inviting participants to donate a copy of the book to ACWWS. Books donated will then be presented to the Grenada Public Library. |
